The first meeting of the Arkansas Rental Dealers Association was held in Little Rock, Arkansas, on December 4, 1986. At that time new board members were nominated and elected for the first Arkansas Rental Dealers Association Board of Directors.

By-laws were formed regarding our purpose, membership, membership dues, voting rights, meetings, and the duties and responsibilities of the board of directors and put into effect on December 17, 1986.

The certificate for Incorporation of Domestic Non-Profit Corporation was signed on April 24, 1987, by then Secretary of State Bill McCuen.
